Life on the sand

Two glasses of iced coffee on a wooden table — Cold brew, first thing

Grilled fish with lime wedges on a white plate — Grilled from the morning catch

Thatched palm umbrellas over empty sand — Shade by the water

Our story

Started with one stove and a sea view.

Maria Fernandes grew up two lanes back from this beach. In 2014 she set up a single gas ring, a fridge full of ice and six plastic chairs under a borrowed umbrella.

Twelve years on, the chairs have been upgraded to teak, but the recipes haven't changed. Her grandmother's masala, the prawn pulao and the filter coffee are still made the same way, every morning, by the same team.
